Wang et al. 2025, Compression garments and running performance, a meta-analysis
Updated systematic review and meta-analysis (22 RCTs, 629 participants). Worn compression garments produced no meaningful effect on race time, time to exhaustion, submaximal oxygen cost or running economy; the only significant pooled finding was reduced soft-tissue vibration. Concludes there is no evidence that compression garments improve running or endurance performance. Strong (consistent null).
