Review and consensus statement on managing travel fatigue and jet lag in athletes. Jet lag is worse travelling east than west, the body clock realigns roughly one time zone per day, and the strongest counter-measures are timed bright-light exposure and avoidance, with timed melatonin as an adjunct. Gradual pre-shifting of sleep before travel helps. Consensus statement. Moderate for the framework, limited for the size of any performance gain.
